Something RAD to check out
I recently purchased my ticket for the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) which means I have come to terms with the fact that I am going to come in contact with some of the worst/craziest people on Earth this weekend. Though, I must admit I am a little excited to see some of these wack jobs this weekend. Who knows, maybe I will run into someone who prides himself on being the best "light show raver glove guy" or the person who has the most surface area of his body covered with raver beads. I believe that I will leave this weekend feeling confident with my life choices and happy that I spend my time doing valuable things instead of using my time to do dumb shit like this video.
On a brighter note, all this thinking of strange people in weird costumes made me think back to this amazing video by Rad Omen. If I were to dress up for EDC I would definitely dress up with some of my buddies as them or maybe just go to EDC with stupid face paint, a binki, and stilts.

Fathers Day Fail

So how long did it take you to realize you suck balls at buying gifts for dads? You know why you find so much "#1 Dad" stuff at the thrift store? Because its junk! Buying shit like this for your dad guarantees adoption kiddos. But lets keep in mind that it isn't just Fathers day. You better treat your dad right and this also means on days like Christmas, Kwanzaa, Jew Day(s), Ramladon or whatever the shit you worship on any given Sunday. So if you haven't done it yet walk up to that bear of a man you call dad and punch him in the gut. Because what a dad truly wants on fathers day is to know that no matter how old or rich you get, he can always lay a firm beat down on your ass to show he is the Alpha Dog (starring Justin Timberland)!
Please Note: DO NOT hit Step Dads... they are fragile for your acceptance.
LA Riots

Just in case you have been living in a box for the past few days the Lakers won the NBA Finals Championship the other night which meant the citizens of Los Angeles came together as one in the only way they know how, rioting. I personally don't care at all about basketball but I was invited to watch the game outside the Staples Center and with me having no other plans I decided to go along not really knowing what to expect. Some friends and I ended up getting to the staples center with around 4 minutes left in the fourth quarter where we ended up watching the game on a tv smaller than an ipad and with a guy holding its' antennas on top of a street electrical box. Right when the Lakers won all hell broke loose. Riot police everywhere, people jumping on parked cars and moving cars, beer bottles thrown, windows smashed, cars set on fire, and rubber bullets being fired. I remember at 1 street there was a biker gang who started doing burn outs in the street while people jumped on top of parked cars while stomping people's car hoods in. Directly after this incident this video took place which I had front row seats to.

Coldplay & Drake

When it comes to mashups I usually like them short, sweet, and mixed within a multitude of different artists such as E-603 or Super Mash Bros. However, Chi Duly has produced 10 songs where he mixes the best of Coldplay and Drake.

Here are two tracks to check out just incase you were a bit hesitant to take the time to download it.

Pacsun Summer Solstice FREE SHOW Sat. & Sun.
Not only is this two day music festival FREE but it is also pretty stacked with a pretty decent line up both days. In order to get tickets you have to go to your nearest Pacsun and simply ask for them. Each person is allowed 1 ticket which is good for you and one other person. You can find the line up Here.If you are planning on going and are unfamiliar with most of the bands here's my simple assessment of most of the bands playing. On Saturday You should check out Bad Rabbits, As Tall As Lions, Ra Ra Riot, and Minus the Bear. Circa Survive will probably be decent but in my experiences seeing them it was very average. As for Saturday I suggest you see Eye Alaska, Neon Trees, and B.O.B. Matt & Kim weren't very good when I saw them and I have heard Steel Train is pretty amazing live but I have never seen them. Anyways here are some videos of the artists listed above.
yes I know live video....They don't have a music video yet but this is a video from when I saw them the other night.

Something to check out
Last night I had the opportunity to do lights for three bands at House of Blues Anaheim and since the show was so damn good I thought I would share these three bands with you all. The first group is The Colourist who are a Indie Rock group from Orange County who never sieze to amaze me live. Bad Rabbits then took the stage and I hadn't heard much of the band before last night and didn't really know what to expect but within the first 3 minutes of their performance I was blown away by how good they were. Their live performance is on a completely different level then their studio recordings so GO SEE THEM LIVE. The last act was by a group called Eye Alaska who I am happy to say are my friends and have been their light technician since day 1. They are a band that is quickly on the rise and last night easily proved that with a sellout crowd. Check them out and enjoy

PASS OUT to Grime
Now some of you may be looking at this video below saying "wow Tinie Tempah, not really bringing anything new to the table." Granted this video has been around for a while and Tinie Tempah is one of the grime scenes better known artists I couldn't help but speculate how long before grime crosses over to the U.S. I know in the UK Tinie Tempah is a very common name especially with London being the hot spot for grime. However, grime in the states seems unnoticed by the mainstream. I know many people who follow music religiously (especially electro) who only know one or two grime artists (usually Dizzee and sometimes Wiley) and these answers most often come after me explaining what grime is.... TO THE POINT. I could definitely see pass out being a major hit in the U.S. especially if it was placed in a car commercial or something like that which has proven to be a useful tool with getting artists recognized (for example Phoenix or Temper Trap).

Why is Alec Baldwin such a boss?
I was watching It's Complicated (nohomo) and thinking about Alec Baldwin. Then during a little Arrested Development marathon I was thinking about Will Arnett. Then I remembered this gem and thought I'd share. You don't tell me what kind of pizza to like.
