DJ Earworm recently released a video for his yearly mashup where he mashes together the year's top 25 Billboard tracks. This years track is somewhat of a letdown compared to previous years but it is still worth a listen.

Muse Interactive Video

Muse released this really cool interactive video where they put 7 cameras on stage at Wembley Stadium and they posted 2 songs on the internet where you can click from camera to camera during their live performance and view from that individual camera. Not only can you select from each of 7 camera views but you can also control the view of each camera. So you are able to either make the camera move left or right. Check it out HERE

Dada Life working on new album

Dada Life is definitely one of my favorite artists and when I heard they had started working on their new album I got super pumped. One of the best parts of Dada Life besides their music is their personalities. They both are really funny guys and I think some of their quirkiness shines through into their music (ex. the song Cookies With A Smile). Check out both of these studio videos to hear them play a bit of their new material.

The Lonely Island- I Just Had Sex (Feat. Akon)

The funny duo known as Lonely Island have released another great song and music video. I never seem to be disappointed by what these guys release. I also included a nice little remix of I'm On A Boat that will impress you.

New DJ Kue

DJ Kue has been dropping some epic new remixes that must be heard. The man has always been better at remixing tracks than coming up with original material. The first is a remix of Waka Flocka Flame who probably has one of the coolest artist names I have ever heard. I don't know where the Flocka Flame part came from but I have a sneaking suspicion he got the Waka from this guy.

Maylene & the Sons of Disaster

I thought I would post this before I go off to an epic ugly Christmas sweater party. Like I said in the post before, I wanted to make another post today that strays away from my norm. The first time I heard this band 1 word came to mind, 'America'. Ever since then I have been a big fan. This band is from Birmingham, Alabama and will literally rock your face off. If you are familiar with the band Underoath then it might surprise you that the lead singer of Maylene was once the lead singer for Underoath. I have seen them a handful of times and every time they have blown my mind. They pretty much just mess around with each other the whole show, drink beer, get hammered, and throw stuff. By watching the videos you may think, "man these are damn hicks!" and I will reply with "yes they are, so fucking embrace it!" The guys in the band are some of the nicest guys I have ever met and know how to throw a mean BBQ. It's good old fashioned fist pumping music that will make you want to head bang right into the face of the nearest hipster kid. Enjoy.
The Damned Things

This post is straying from my normal genres that I post but I had to post it. The Damned Things are a supergroup consisting of Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley of Fall Out Boy and Anthrax members Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano, with Keith Buckley and Josh Newton of Every Time I Die. Kind of a random group of guys especially with the members of Fall Out Boy. What many people don't know is that the drummer of Fall Out Boy used to be in a bunch of hardcore bands before he joined the teen boner sensation Fall Out Boy. As for the guitar player of Fall Out Boy, well he's been getting weirder and weirder ever since Fall Out Boy made it big and people left and right started hating on that band. Going off on a bit of a tangent it has always bummed me out how much people hate on FOB. I had the privilege of partying with them one night after they played a secret show at my work and they are incredibly cool nice people. Except for Pete Wentz, that guy is a tool. Back to the topic at hand! The music is enjoyable but nothing that is going to sweep you off your feet. They just released their first full length called 'Ironiclast' and they also just released a video for their single 'We've Got A Situation Here' which is hilarious. Even if you don't like the song the video is a good watch. I will probably be posting another obscure post later today since I'm in the mood but rest assured I will be bringing it back to electro and indie posts.

The Kissaway Trail

The Kissaway Trail is a great indie rock band from Denmark who recently released their new single called "Beat Your Heartbeat". This band is incredible with a rich upbeat sound that will sure enough gather much attention from major record labels. I highly recommend picking up their album 'Sleep Mountain'. Here is some of their music.

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs

I didn't hear about this group till recently but in general their music is decent but I really liked their song household goods which they released a few weeks ago. The video would probably be much better if it didn't have the creepy band member in it but that can be overlooked. Apparently he is trying to pull off the whole Indian head dress look which has already been taken by the much more worthy Jón Þór Birgisson of Jonsi. Plus if you're going to wear something that ridiculous you should at least have one that looks cool.

Here's the video. Enjoy.

Lights! Lights! Lights!
A few days ago I made a post about Deadmau5 and how impressive his live set is. I remember I was on my way to Coachella and I talked to one of my friends who said "hey, apparently Deadmau5's set this weekend is supposed to be incredible. He has some new cool stage setup." Now, I was stuck in a pretty big pickle with Deadmau5 performing at the same time as Jay-Z so this didn't make it easy for me. I decided to catch the beginning of Jay-Z and then headed over to Deadmau5 where I instantly got mind fucked the instant I saw his rig. I have been preaching it for the past 5 years, cool innovative lighting is where it is at! Honestly! Ask Muse, Sigur Ros, Trans Siberian Orchestra, Etienne De Crecy, and of course Daft Punk. So here I share with you some of my favorite videos to show you the soon to be standard of live performances.

Little People

I was headed back from Big Bear, Ca last weekend and on the way down I listened to an artist that I haven't listened to in a while. It's called Little People and it's great if you love down beat, ambient, trip hop music. Give it a listen.

Daft Punk: Tron Legacy Soundtrack

After making a post about the release of Deadmau5's new album 4x4=12 and having it taken down (probably by the government!) hours later I was a little hesitant to write this post. The new soundtrack to the new movie Tron comes out today and was done by everyone's favorite bonertastic duo Daft Punk. Now, if your expecting to hear dancy songs like 'Around the World' or 'One More Time' then prepare for a rogue kick to the face. This soundtrack is probably what you would expect when you think of an epic movie's soundtrack. Even though this is probably not going to be something that you bust out at your teen dream party but it still is an amazing work of art that John Williams would be impressed by. Besides the soundtrack I am pumped for this movie and it would be cool if they were actually in the movie.

Deadmau5: 4x4=12

Deadmau5's new album '4x4=12' comes out tomorrow with it's hits songs 'Some Chords' and 'Animal Rights' featured on it. I have always been a big fan of Deadmau5 and of recently his live performance. One thing that has always bugged me about people's perception towards Deadmau5 is that everyone expects all his music should sound like 'Ghosts N Stuff'. Now, if you have ever really listened to a fair share of Deadmau5's music you will know that most of his music is more house than electro. So, many people get into Deadmau5 from hearing 'Ghosts N Stuff' and instantly think that the rest of his music is the same way when it really isn't. I have talked to many people that claim to love Deadmau5 yet when they go and see him live they think his set is boring and they didn't know any of the songs besides 'Ghosts N Stuff'. Most of his music isn't dance your face off type music yet many people are led to thinking that it is. My only qualm with Deadmau5 is that I feel there is nothing new about this album. Almost every track on this record has been leaked since the song 'Some Chords' was initially leaked months ago. Besides his music his live set is incredible. Since I have done my fair share of stage lighting in the past his setup blows my mind. Go see him and go pick up his new album.

Destronics
If you are unfamiliar with Destronics you should check them out. They just released a new video for their song 'Feel in Color'. Check it out here.
Little Comets
Mark January 31 on your calendar because the new Little Comets album 'In Search of Elusive Little Comets' comes out that date. They recently released this new video for their song Joanna . The song is great, the band's style is great. I'm looking forward to this release.
