New Music- Low Roar

Well well well Low Roar, brand new band that has popped up but as I listened to it something sounded distinctly familiar to me, the vocals. Low and behold it's the former lead singer of one my favorite bands Audrye Sessions. Back like I don't know 5 years ago I used to be obsessed with this band Audrye Sessions from Oakland and I thought they were for sure going to make it. Incredible live performance and their record was amazing. They released a couple hundred copies of their album 'Braille' where the cd cover was actually all in actual braille. It was the coolest thing ever. Every track on the record blew my mind. What ended up happening was they signed with a label, re recorded Braille, self titled the album, threw on a couple new tracks, and it sounded like garbage. You can listen to their re recorded album on Spotify or you can be a champ and download the Braille album here. If you're sketched out with that though the songs that turned out to be fine on the re recorded album are "Turn Me Off", "New Year's Day" and "She Had To Leave". Unfortunately the band broke up and I was incredibly upset till now which finally brings me to Low Roar.

The lead singer decided to move to Iceland and started Low Roar which definitely fits in with the style of music that typically gets pumped out from there. Check out tracks from each artist below.

Unfortunately all of the other tracks got taken off soundcloud but I will post some Audrye Sessions stuff.

Bastille

It's been a while since my last post. Very sorry I have been crazy busy with a lot of different things. I recently got back from touring with Naked and Famous and White Arrows for a few days which was unreal but onto Bastille. London based producer and singer just dropped this cover song yesterday called "What Would You Do?" and it's really damn good. If you like James Blake, Mr. Hudson, or The Streets you will dig this. Kind of a mix between all three. Very good though and I hope this guy goes for it and releases more tracks.

New Album: Justice- Audio, Video, Disco

The long awaited album has finally arrived and I must say it doesn't disappoint at all. If you haven't listened to anything off the new album imagine someone taking Justice and Queen and putting them in a blender. There's so much classic rock influence on this album, it's incredible. My only concern with the new album is their ability to pull it off live since of course they are DJs and none of these songs are typical songs a DJ would perform. I'm guessing there's going to be a boat load of remixes coming out from this album that they will work with for their live performance. I just hope this album gets the praise it deserves since so much focus with electronic music right now is on dubstep & house music. Four years ago when they released Cross the album was a massive driving force for electronic music and I really hope this album has the same affect in motivating more electronic producers to cross genre barriers like this album does. Top 3 favorite tracks are Canon, Newlands, and Audio Video Disco. You can download the album HERE and watch the video for Audio, Video, Disco below.

Camo and Krooked- Cross the Line

Austrain based duo Camo and Krooked just released a full length album which is amazing. Usually I'm a bit skeptical when DJs produce full length albums. Especially since all the signs pointed to this being bad. They are young, don't necessarily have the guidance on how to put together an album, and just typically electronic albums like this in their entirety usually suck. They pulled it off very well though. Every track is very good and surprisingly there's a whopping 14 tracks. I just hope this album gets the attention it deserves. You can download the album by clicking HERE. Get a taste of what is on the album below. My personal favorites are "Far Away", "Breezeblock", and "All Fall Down".
