Editors Announce New Album

The epic British indie rock band Editors have finally announced they are beginning to work on their 4th album after being MIA for some time. With their last release being 3 years ago I remember getting that album the day it came out and how upset I was so hopefully they can rekindle what they were able to create on their first 2 albums. If you've never heard this band they are definitely one that takes some getting used to. I've always liked to think of them as Frank Sinatra meets Interpol. Give them a listen below and get pumped.

The Naked and Famous- No Way (Official Video)

The Kiwi quintet recently released this video for their incredible song "No Way". The video is sooo well done and consists of shit blowing up and breaking. Very fitting for when the song kicks into gear. Enjoy.

Nero- Reaching Out (Official Video)

Nero dropped this a couple days ago trying to capture the whole cheesy Miami Vice thing. Great song but if you're going to go this route with a video you should have a cheesy plot to go with it. This is just a video of just random clips and weird trippy shapes that represent Miami Vice things but thats about it. This video reminded me of the direction Grum went with his video for "Through the Night" which is quite possibly one of the funniest videos ever next to his video for "Can't Shake This Feeling". Check out both videos below.

The Bloody Beetroots feat. Dennis Lyxzén - Church of Noise (Official Video)

The Bloody Beetroots or Death Crew 1977 (whichever one they go by now since nobody fucking knows) has just released this video for their new song "Church of Noise" which features the legendary lead singer Dennis Lyxzen of Refused. For most of you this may ring a bell with the remix Bloody Beetroots did a while back of their song "New Noise". Before I get into the meat of this post I'm going to say this song is very good and the video is good but there's a lot of things wrong going on with the Bloody Beetroots or Death Crew 1977.

First off, I have no idea what they are now. At first Death Crew was started as a side project to Beetroots in order I guess to make a point of "hey we aren't just a couple of crazy Italian DJs who poor vodka down peoples throats, we are musicians dammit!" I've seen Death Crew before and it sounds like complete garbage. They don't know how to play or make their equipment sound well. Stick to what you know and leave the whole edgy punk band attempt back in your garage. Lately their Death Crew edgy style has been adopted to be apart of the Bloody Beetroots which is ridiculous. This new video is under the name Bloody Beetroots but it's all Death Crew shit.

Secondly, you don't just pick up the old lead singer of Refused and put him in your electronic song. Hardcore kids are probably shooting themselves in the face listening to this song. Dennis, if you're going to get back into the whole music thing after Refused and then forming The International Noise Conspiracy how about REFORMING REFUSED!!! Everyone has had their fingers crossed for 14 years waiting for it to happen. To me getting Dennis to do this was a smart idea on the Beetroots side but at the same time was a pretty big cop out. "Hey let's get someone synonymous with hardcore/punk music to be in our new song so people know that we are too!" He belongs performing in front of kids who smash each others faces in and not 16 year old girls overdosing on ecstasy. Anygay, here is the video, enjoy

Example- Midnight Run (Official Video)

One of my favorite grime artists just released a new video for a song off his new LP called Midnight Run. I'm not crazy about the song or the video but I support him a lot. The Flux Pavilion remix in my opinion is much better. Check the video and song out below.

Deadmau5 Announces Las Vegas Residency at XS

Pretty crazy news, Deadmau5 has announced he will be starting a residency where I spent my 21st birthday, club XS at the Wynn in Las Vegas. I would love to know how much it's costing the Wynn to book Deadmau5 for a residency but I'm sure it's some incredibly ridiculous amount. It starts January 2nd, 2012 so be ready for the best club in Vegas to be even better. Check out his hype video for the occasion.
