Skrillex

Recently Skrillex has really been picking up some momentum especially with the release of his new EP 'My Name Is Skrillex' which is a good listen and currently performing a set of shows with everyones favorite electro house tech nerd Deadmau5. Yet, there's a lot of interesting things that people don't know about Skrillex so allow me to drop some knowledge on you fools. First and foremost people may just assume that Skrillex AKA Sonny Moore (his slave name) only has had his hand in the Electro/House and now Dubstep cookie jar within his stint in the music scene. NOPE. Before Sonny Moore decided to be this edgy cool DJ he was the lead singer of a band called From First To Last. Now this name may ring no bells in your head but ask any 22 year old person who was known for rocking eye liner, girl jeans, and straightened black hair back when they were 16 and they will definitely know. I know because their crap band used to play at my work all the time and our backstage would smell like burnt hair all night because they would usually spend all their time straightening their hair. I first got wind of Skrillex about 2 years ago when he was playing Bamboozle Left which isn't really a DJ friendly music festival. So I proceeded by seeing LMFAO play in front of about 100 people on a stage probably the size of my bed and watching Skrillex perform in this POS tent that was probably better suited for my unborn child's Quinceañera. Anyway, I didn't have too high of expectations to say the least but he fucking rocked it and ever since then I have been a big fan. Recently he has tried his hand in Dubstep and I must say it is pretty damn impressive. Here is some before and after action from the man known as Skrillex.
