Warped Tour Review

I had the privilege to attend the Warped Tour yesterday and I must say it was a pretty damn good time. I was surprised at how small each stage was and how out of place I felt walking around with a beer but that's neither here nor there. I did however get to meet the worlds hardest party man Andrew W.K. backstage right before he went on which was so damn awesome! I felt like I was 12 years old again when asking to take a photo with him. I'm here today to shoot off my top bands of Warped Tour.

1. Andrew W.K. - could have guessed this one. Was just pure old fashion fun.


2. Every Time I Die- This band never disappoints live. These guys are probably the world's hardest partiers in the traditional sense. They drink a shit ton and are just champs. If you don't believe me check out their DVD 'Shit Happens'. Tons of energy in their live performance and are one of those bands I rather see in the day at a festival than at a dark music venue.


3. Closure in Moscow- This group I was most curious to see if they could pull off a good live performance because their music is very complex and could easily be a studio band in the sense that they sound incredible on record but live they simply can't perform what has been done on the album. They killed it to say the least. Lead singer hits all his notes and guitar work sounds incredible live. Go see them if you have the chance.

4. The Dillinger Escape Plan- This group is insane live. They have a knack for literally going crazy on stage. I have seen this band 4 times now and every single time I have seen them there has been an incident where they may have taken it too far. For example, first time I saw them was at my work where the lead singer closed out the show by blowing fireballs into the crowd... They were banned from House of Blues for the longest time and I think not until recently were they able to play their again. Yesterday they were just as crazy as always.
